INDIA VS AUSTRALIA THIRD ODI PREVIEW
After being humiliated in the first ODI, Team India bounced back strongly to end Australia’s 4-match winning streak against India in India in ODIs. Post Dhawan and Kohli’s well-compiled fifties, KL Rahul’s stunning finishing skills gave India a solid target to defend, which India’s bowlers defended perfectly.
Now that the ODI series in leveled 1-1, the climax of the movie, India vs Aus ODI series will be shot in Bangalore on Sunday, and it is expected to be a blockbuster affair with plenty of earnings (runs) to offer.
India would be very of their vulnerability in case the top-order does not fire. While KL Rahul’s fine show in the second ODI should give them some comfort, they need the others to step-up too. Bowling looks good, but the lack of the sixth bowling option means everyone needs to give their best.
Australia, on the other hand, saw openers failing in the second ODI, which exposed their inexperienced middle-order. A lot would be dependant on their top-order once again to make a strong winning case in the third and final ODI.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Bangalore pitch is known for producing seaming and batting-friendly tracks. That means, we can expect another high scoring encounter in the all-important final clash. Rain god is likely to stay away, and we can expect a full 100 overs of play.
KEY PLAYERS TO WATCH-OUT FOR
Rohit Sharma
Rohit Sharma has had a warm beginning to his 2020 campaign with scores of 10 and 42 in two ODIs. He felt like getting into the groove in the second ODI, but unfortunately, couldn’t tee off after getting a start. With the all-important final clash in the third ODI, we can except Rohit to score heavily after two quiet ODIs.
David Warner:
David Warner scored a fantastic century in the first ODI, and helped Australia get off to a flying start in the series. With a failure in the second ODI, all eyes would be on him to get Australia going. If this doesn’t happen, we could see Australia in trouble in the third ODI.
Jasprit Bumrah
Boom boom had a below-par T20I series against Sri Lanka after his return after an injury. He did decently in the first ODI, but it was the high-scoring second ODI where he brought back his magic touch. With him getting into the groove, he would be the key bowler once again in the third and final ODI.
TEAM CHANGES:
After being out due to concussion rule in the second ODI, Rishabh Pant should be back in the playing 11, and don the wicket-keeping duties. With him in the 11, and KL Rahul’s fine returns in the second ODI at number 5, we could see Manish Pandey being left-out in the third ODI.
Kuldeep Yadav, on the other hand, has had poor returns in both the ODIs. Given Yuzvendra Chahal’s experience in Bangalore, Team India are most-likely to play Chahal above Kuldeep as the first-choice spinner.
India vs Aus Third ODI Predicted Playing 11 for Team India:
Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli (C), Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant (WK), Ravindra Jadeja, Yuzvendra Chahal, Mohammed Shami, Navdeep Saini, and Jasprit Bumrah.
India vs Aus Third ODI Predicted Playing 11 for Australia:
Aaron Finch (C), David Warner, Marnus Labuschagne, Steve Smith, Ashton Turner, Alex Carey (WK), Ashton Agar, Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Adam Zampa, and Kane Richardson.
