Rishabh Pant and Shikhar Dhawan thank fans for their unwavering support

Rishabh Pant, Shikhar Dhawan and few other players took to Twitter to thank fans for their unwavering support.

Delhi Capitals’ fans also had a lot to cheer about as DC qualified for the playoffs for the first time after a gap of 7 years. Even though DC lost to CSK in the eliminator, they would be happy that they finished third on the table. After a disappointing 2018 campaign, Delhi Capitals have finally come of age as they ended their season on a positive note.

The difference this time around has been their fearless approach and the individual ownership of roles in the squad. The leadership of Ricky Ponting and Sourav Ganguly also deserves a lot of credit for their success.

Shikhar Dhawan finished as Delhi Capitals’ leading run-scorer with 521 runs from 16 innings while Kagiso Rabada finished as their leading wicket-taker with 25 scalps from 12 innings.

The players have also been vocal while acknowledging the unwavering support shown by the fans. After their final home game, DC players went on a post-match lap of honor which evoked a lot of emotions. Shikhar Dhawan and Shreyas Iyer were seen waving and that pumped a lot of energy among the crowd. Prithvi Shaw, Trent Boult, and others were seen handing out t-shirts to the crowd.

As the season ended, many DC players took it to social media, to acknowledge and thank the fans for their support.

Here are some of the heartfelt messages shared by the Delhi Capitals’ team members such as Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer, Shikhar Dhawan, and more.
