Wishes pour in on Twitter as the mighty, Lasith Malinga retires from One Day Internationals.
It has been a fabulous journey for a wonderful cricketer and human being, Lasith Malinga whose ODI career lasted for 15 years.
Having debuted on July 17, 2004, Lasith Malinga has taken a total of 338 wickets from 220 innings at an average of 28.87, and an economy rate of 5.35. He is the only cricketer to have taken three ODI hat-tricks.
Known as the yorker king in World Cricket, his unorthodox action and bull’s eye accuracy has been his secret ingredient of success over the years. An absolutely legend for Sri Lanka in white-ball cricket, Lasith Malinga would be a name no fan would ever forget.
So, after playing his last ODI against Bangladesh, cricketing Fraternity took to Twitter to wish the legend on his successful ODI career. Many cricketing legends like Rohit Sharma, Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh and others left no stone unturned to wish the legendary bowler, Lasith Malinga.
