WEST INDIES VS INDIA FIRST T20I SCORECARD
INDIA: 98-6 in 17.2 overs | Win by 4 wickets
Rohit Sharma: 24(25) | Sunil Narine: 2-14 | Keemo Paul: 2-23
WEST INDIES: 95-9 in 20 overs
Kieron Pollard: 49(49) | Navdeep Saini: 3-17 | Bhuvneshwar Kumar: 2-19
MATCH SUMMARY:
Team India begin their first match post World Cup with a dominating win as they defeat West Indies by 7 wickets in the first T20 International.
Bowling first, it has been a dream debut for Navdeep Saini, who took 3 wickets along with a wicket-maiden 20th over. Even other bowlers supported Saini perfectly as Bhuvi took 2 wickets, while Khaleel, Jadeja, and Krunal took 1 each. Kieron Pollard top-scored for West Indies with his 49(49) as he somehow lifted West Indies to 95-9 in the 20 overs.
Chasing just 96, India didn’t have a good start. Dhawan got cheaply, while Rohit threw away after getting a good start, and Pant played an irresponsible shot to end up on a golden duck.
Kohli then had a small partnership with Manish, but Kohli fell due to the slowness of the wicket, while Pandey played a poor shot. Krunal, Sundar, and Jadeja, however, made sure India reach the target in 17.2 overs.

Players are getting out leaving Virat Kohli in the middle. Clearly, this is some sort of revolt led by Rohit Sharma. The rift is out in the open. #IndvsWI

Rohit Sharma got out earlier so that he didn't have to spend time with Virat Kohli on the ground. The rift continues. Not good for Indian cricket. #IndvsWI

Navdeep Saini has worked so hard to get here. But he has to credit @GautamGambhir for seeing in him a talent and then fighting the world to let him be #IndvsWI
