What he needs right now is confidence, and that will come with the backing of the Management. It was unfortunate to see the management dropping Vaibhav after three failures, and instead falling back on the player, who was dropped to accommodate Vaibhav.

What’s more interesting is that the same player, who came in for Vaibhav, and was dropped initially – Sanju Samson- is dropped for the Zimbabwe T20 series itself. It was a questionable selection by Gautam Gambhir and co., but that’s how it is currently. With Samson not there, and Prabsimran being the competitor, Vaibhav Suryavanshi should get all three T20Is to prove his worth at the International stage. Given the talent Vaibhav has, don’t be surprised if he comes out with flying colours after the series.
