IPL 2020 – DC vs KKR Match Preview:

It’s the third match in Sharjah, and run-feast is on the cards as Delhi Capitals take on Kolkata Knight Riders in the evening doubleheader. Both the teams have explosive batting-unit, so needless to say this is going to be a cracker of a match on Saturday.

Delhi Capitals started the season with a bang with 2 victories in 2 matches, but a poor show with the bat against SRH handed them their first defeat. Nevertheless, the balance of the side is still brilliant, and with Sharjah pitch, they should be back to their best once again.

After a slow start in the first match, Kolkata Knight Riders have been excellent as a team in the next two matches. Their batting has clicked, and their bowling has been excellent. Barring a few hiccups like Narine’s batting, Kuldeep’s form, and a lack of an extra batsman, KKR have been excellent.

Nevertheless, when you have batsmen like Russell, Pant, Morgan, Gill, Karthik, etc., you should definitely expect a run-feast. More so when you are playing on the small ground of Sharjah, the bowlers have nothing to do, but to hide their place. Expect another 200+ on the cards from both the teams.

IPL 2020 DC vs KKR Predicted XIs:

Even though Shimron Hetmyer hasn’t had a good outing with the bat so far, Delhi Capitals are most-likely to go unchanged. The only change in the team could be the batting-order, which they have been very flexible with.

IPL 2020 DC vs KKR – Delhi Capitals Predicted 11:

Shikhar Dhawan, Prithvi Shaw, Shreyas Iyer (C), Rishabh Pant, Shimron Hetmyer, Marcus Stoinis, Axar Patel, Amit Mishra, Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje, and Ishant Sharma.

Kolkata Knight Riders too are most-likely to go unchanged given the success they have had with the same team in the last two matches. The only drawback with this team is the lack of an extra batsman, but Sharjah being a batting beauty, it shouldn’t affect much.

IPL 2020 DC vs KKR – Kolkata Knight Riders Predicted 11:

Sunil Narine, Shubman Gill, Dinesh Karthik (C&WK), Nitish Rana, Eoin Morgan, Andre Russell, Pat Cummins, Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Kuldeep Yadav, Shivam Mavi, and Sandeep Warrier.

Top Fantasy Picks:

Batsmen: Rishabh Pant, Prithvi Shaw, Eoin Morgan, and Nitish Rana

Rishabh Pant hasn’t looked his best as yet, but still is the leading run-scorer of the side with 96 runs from 3 innings. This could just be the match where we can see Rishabh Pant tee-off, and be his explosive best. More than him, the team would need him to perform as he is the team’s most explosive batsman.

Prithvi Shaw started poorly, then gave a match-winning performance, and then again failed in the third match. He is succumbed to swing bowling and on pitches that assist bowling. The Sharjah pitch should help him calm his initial nerves. If he can survive those initial 10-15 balls, expect a big knock  from the Mumbaikar.

Eoin Morgan is slowly and steadily getting into the groove. He looked uncomfortable in the first match but since then has played two valuable knocks for his side in difficult circumstances. After three relatively difficult batting-wickets, the pitch in Sharjah should help him score more freely.

Nitish Rana has had starts in all the three innings so far, but couldn’t capitalize on it to score a big one. He literally threw is wickets, and got out to poor shots. We expect more maturity from him, and he is certainly capable of doing that.

All-rounder: Andre Russell

A pitch like Sharjah, and you don’t have Russell in your team is almost suicidal. If KKR get a good start, Russell should get a promotion. If they are in need of acceleration, Russell is their prime weapon. In any case, Russell should get good game time in the middle, and thus a blazing knock is on the card. Moreover, if KKR bowl first, you can expect Russell to give you 1-2 good overs at the death.

Bowlers: Kagiso Rabada and Pat Cummins

Even though there isn’t much for the bowlers in Sharjah, you might still be required to select a minimum of two bowlers. If that is the case, Kagiso Rabada and Pat Cummins are your best bet. While Rabada should be a default selection because he gives you wickets, Pat has improved a lot in the last two games. If Pat can keep his length right, he can be lethal on this pitch.

Apart from these, if you really have to select a bowler then go with Anich Nortje and Shivam Mavi as the valuable options. Spinners are a big no-no on the ground, and should be avoided.

Captain & Vice-Captain Pick: Rishabh Pant and Andre Russell
