Match Details:

Match 17 MI vs SRH

IPL 2020 – MI vs SRH Match Preview:

It’s the second double-header of IPL 2020, and we have another high-scoring encounter on the cards as batting-heavy Mumbai Indians take on Sunrisers Hyderabad in Sharjah. Both the teams have won two games so far and lost two. This would be their chance to make it to the top with 6 points.

Mumbai Indians look the only team who seem to have got their combination right in all the departments. Their pacers are doing well, they have good spinners, and their batting looks well balanced. If Hardik starts bowling then they are the team to defeat.

Sunrisers got off a corner in the last match as the inexperienced trio of Priyam Garg, Abhishek, and Abdul Samad gave successful returns for them after the failures of heavyweights of their team. However, SRH can’t rely on them always, and they need to set their batting-order where finishing duties are not given to inexperienced players.

The pitch in Sharjah has been a high-scoring one so far, so expect the same in SRH vs MI game as well. Moreover, with the match being played in the afternoon, it would be even more interesting as bowlers would hardly have anything for them.

IPL 2020 MI vs SRH Predicted XIs:

Mumbai Indians seem to have got their combination right perfectly, so expect them to go unchanged. Even Pattinson, who looked slightly off-coloured is back to bowling in good channels. So, Coulter-Nile will have to wait for his turn to play.

IPL 2020 MI vs SRH – Mumbai Indians Predicted 11:

Quinton de Kock (WK), Rohit Sharma (C), Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan Hardik Pandya, Kieron Pollard, Krunal Pandya, Rahul Chahar, James Pattinson, Trent Boult, and Jasprit Bumrah.

Sunrisers Hyderabad would go unchanged if Bhuvi has recovered. If not, Siddharth Kaul or Sandeep Sharma should come-in for him. However, they definitely need to sort their batting-order. Garg did play a good knock at number 5, but they can’t rely on inexperienced finishers always. Ideally, Garg should play at 3 followed by Williamson, Pandey, and Samad.

IPL 2020 MI vs SRH – Sunrisers Hyderabad Predicted 11:

David Warner (C), Jonny Bairstow (WK), Manish Pandey, Kane Williamson, Priyam Garg, Abdul Samad, Abhishek Sharma, Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar / Siddharth Kaul / Sandeep Sharma, Khaleel Ahmed, and T Natarajan.

Key Player Selections:

Batsmen: Quinton de Kock, Jonny Bairstow, David Warner, Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav / Kane Williamson

Considering tomorrow is a batting paradise, and you need to select as many batsmen as possible. Looking at the batting of both the teams, Quinton de Kock, Rohit Sharma, and Suryakumar Yadav should be your picks from Mumbai Indians if Mumbai Indians bat first, whereas Jonny Bairstow, David Warner, and Kane Williamson should be your picks from SRH if SRH bat first. So, ultimately, it is going to be a toss-up between Suryakumar Yadav and Kane Williamson for the fifth batsman.

Quinton de Kock may be struggling for form, but this could just be the right match for him to get back to form. There’s definitely quality there, and if he can hold his nerves initially, expect a big one from him. Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma, Jonny Bairstow, and David Warner are the default selection for tomorrow’s match. All three are in good form, and the pitch is such that if you don’t select any of them, you might end up regretting.

All-rounders: Hardik Pandya

Mumbai Indians surprised us in the last match by sending Kieron Pollard ahead of Hardik Pandya. This is certainly a good move as it gives Pollard sometime in the middle, and then explode. Pandya, on the other hand, is a natural hitter, and can hit right from the word go. However, we might mostly face a situation where quick runs are needed, and that could prompt MI to play Hardik ahead of Pollard.

Bowlers: Jasprit Bumrah, Rashid Khan, and T Natarajan

Bowlers are a strict no-no on this ground. However, given that you would need to pick at least three bowlers, who better than Jasprit Bumrah and Rashid as your two primary picks. The third bowler could be tricky, but given the way Natarajan has bowled in the death overs, he should be your choice.

Captain & Vice-Captain Pick: David Warner and Quinton de Kock
