Ideally, Sunrisers Hyderabad wouldn’t have made any changes in the squad as they had done on the previous two occasions, but with Washington Sundar injured for the next few matches, Sunrisers would be forced to make a change. As a like-for-like replacement in the form of spinner, Shreyas Gopal seems the only good option available for them.

Washington Sundar’s injury could be a blessing in disguise for the Sunrisers Hyderabad. They don’t have a proper wrist spinner in the squad, and with Shreyas Gopal playing, that problem could be solved if he performs well. Uncapped Shreyas has done well while playing for Rajasthan Royals. With a new franchise, expect Shreyas Gopal to give his best and do well.

From the team standpoint, Kane Williamson would be hoping for its top order to continue doing well. The likes of Abhishek Sharma, Nicholas Pooran, Rahul Tripathi, and himself are the backbone of the SRH batting. They really don’t have much batting other than these. Kolkata Knight Riders are still looking for their strongest playing 11. They have tried with Rahane for 5 matches now, but unfortunately, Ajinkya Rahane hasn’t improved on form, and it should finally be time for Shreyas Iyer and KKR to make a decision for the betterment of the team. Ajinkya Rahane has to be replaced, and there’s no better player than Aaron Finch to take that spot. 

With Aaron Finch, the overseas players expected to debut for KKR, Sam Billings, who has had a poor tournament so far will have to make way for him. In addition, Sheldon Jackson could be roped in as a keeper to play in the middle-order. If Finch supports Venkatesh Iyer at the top, there will be no stopping the KKR team.

From the team Standpoint, KKR would be hoping for more consistency from Venkatesh Iyer. He did help win the match against Mumbai Indians, but he will repeat his 2021 performance to keep the runs flowing. Similarly, Nitish Rana will be under the radar to perform. He hasn’t had the bests of outing so far in IPL 2022, and would want to amend that.

The team also need a few players to step up.
