IPL 2026 Overseas Players Full Updated List for All 10 Teams

From Travis Head to Sunil Narine, explore the full updated IPL 2026 overseas players list for all 10 teams for the Indian Premier League.

Injuries, Rule outs, Opt outs, and Delays. That’s how the Overseas players are in focus in the 19th edition of the Indian Premier League, IPL 2026. Barring a couple of teams, almost every team is suffering from Injuries or late joiners in the side. This is a serious issue for the franchise, who spend tons of money to acquire quality Overseas players. And if they don’t join soon, it’s a big loss for the franchise – financially as well as composition-wise.

Each team, in general, has 7-8 Overseas players in the side. While four are solid and first-choice for any team, the other 3-4 Overseas players are backups. So, in case any of the first-choice players like Josh Hazlewood, Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Matheesha Pathirana, don’t make it to the squad soon, they have to fall on backups, which isn’t the ideal way for any IPL franchise to start the tournament.

The recent case of rule out is of Sam Curran, who was successfully ruled out, and replaced by Dasun Shanaka. With so many updates on the Overseas players with regard to their availability, let’s review the IPL 2026 Overseas players list and full updates on them for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026.

IPL 2026 Overseas Players Full Updated List for All 10 Teams

Mumbai Indians (MI) Overseas Players IPL 2026

  • Sherfane Rutherford
  • Quinton de Kock (wk)
  • Ryan Rickelton (wk)
  • Corbin Bosch
  • Mitchell Santner
  • Will Jacks
  • Allah Ghazanfar
  • Trent Boult

The Mumbai Indians is one of the teams that don’t have any injury concerns for their existing Overseas players. All 8 players are fit and available, but they face a problem of plenty. All 8 Overseas players are so good that they can start as first-choice for any Franchise. The Overseas contingent is also built in such a way that they have a backup for every player. So, Rutherford is a backup for Jacks, Rickelton for de Kock, Ghazanfar for Santner, and Bosch for Boult.

Delhi Capitals (DC) Overseas Players IPL 2026

  • David Miller
  • Pathum Nissanka
  • Ben Duckett (wk)
  • Tristan Stubbs (wk)
  • Dushmantha Chameera
  • Kyle Jamieson
  • Lungi Ngidi
  • Mitchell Starc (To Miss Initial Matches)

The Delhi Capitals team has 8 Overseas players on their side, and their only problem is Mitchell Starc, who is expected to miss the initial few matches. It’s a shocker to see Starc missing the IPL initially, when he doesn’t even play two formats, and has hardly played competitive cricket in the last two years. Barring Starc, Lungi should be the lick of the bowlers, and Miller, Stubbs, and Chameera should complete the rest of the Overseas pack.

Rajasthan Royals (RR) Overseas Players IPL 2026

  • Shimron Hetmyer
  • Donovan Ferreira
  • Lhuan de Pretorius
  • Dasun Shanaka
  • Adam Milne (Injury concern)
  • Jofra Archer
  • Kwena Maphaka
  • Nandre Burger

The RR team had a solid bundle of Overseas players in the side, but unfortunately, the RR side is affected by injuries. While Sam Curran is already ruled out, and replaced by Dasun Shanaka, Adam Milne is most likely set to miss IPL 2026 due to injury. So, without these two key players, RR will depend on Shimron Hetmyer, Jofra Archer, Donovan Ferreira, and one of Nandre Burger or Kwena Maphaka.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) Overseas Players IPL 2026

  • Dewald Brevis
  • Jamie Overton
  • Matthew Short (To miss initial matches)
  • Zak Foulkes
  • Akeal Hosein
  • Matt Henry
  • Nathan Ellis (Injured)
  • Noor Ahmad

The Chennai Super Kings team now has 7 Overseas players on their side, with Nathan Ellis being ruled out of IPL 2026 due to injury. The team should now see Matt Henry as the leading pacer, with Zak Foulkes and Jamie Overton as key backups. The team has Noor Ahmad as the leading spinner, with Akeal Hosein as the key backup spinner. Dewald Brevis should be the key middle-order batter for CSK, with Short as the key backup.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) Foreign Players IPL 2026

  • Tim David
  • Jordan Cox (wk)
  • Phil Salt (wk)
  • Jacob Bethell
  • Romario Shepherd
  • Jacob Duffy
  • Josh Hazlewood (To miss initial matches)
  • Nuwan Thushara (To miss initial matches)

Royal Challengers Bengaluru have 8 Overseas players on their side, but unfortunately, Josh Hazlewood and Nuwan Thushara are expected to miss the initial matches. This is a big blow to the franchise, having lost two key players. The responsibility now lies on Jacob Duffe for the pace department, and Tim David, Phil Salt, and Romarip Shepherd as the strong contenders for the top 4 overseas spots in the side.

Punjab Kings (PBKS) Foreign Players IPL 2026

  • Michell Owen
  • Azmatullah Omarzai
  • Cooper Connolly
  • Marco Jansen
  • Marcus Stoinis
  • Ben Dwarshuis
  • Lockie Ferguson (To miss initial matches)
  • Xavier Bartlett

The Punjab Kings have a solid bunch of 8 Overseas players in the side, but Lockie Ferguson, their front-line pacer, is expected to miss the first half of IPL 2026 to spend some time with his newborn kid. So, in Lockie’s absence, the responsibility will now lie on Marco Jansen, Marcus Stoinis, Azmatullah Omarzai, and Cooper Connolly or Xavier Bartlett. It is still a decent bunch of Overseas players, with Owen, Dwarshuis, and Connolly as key backups, if needed.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) Overseas Players IPL 2026

  • Travis Head
  • Heinrich Klaasen (wk)
  • Brydon Carse
  • Jack Edwards (Injury concern)
  • Kamindu Mendis
  • Liam Livingstone
  • Ehsan Malinga (Injury concern)
  • Pat Cummins (To miss initial matches)

The Sunrisers Hyderabad is the only team with an Overseas Captain, but such is the luck of the side that Pat Cummins – the leader and captain, is yet to recover fully due to injury. While Pat Cummins may miss a few matches due to injury, the same is the case with Ehsan Malinga, and Jack Edwards is almost sure to miss the IPL 2026. So, the SRH Overseas will depend a lot on Travis Head, Heinrich Klaasen, and Liam Livingstone.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) Overseas Players IPL 2026

  • Rovman Powell
  • Finn Allen (wk)
  • Tim Seifert (wk)
  • Cameron Green
  • Rachin Ravindra
  • Sunil Narine
  • Blessing Muzarabani
  • Matheesha Pathirana (To miss Initial Matches)

The Kolkata Knight Riders team has 8 Overseas players in their side, but the team will miss the services of Mustafizur Rahman, who was replaced by Blessing Muzarabani due to political tensions between India and Bangladesh. Whereas Matheesha Pathirana will miss the initial few matches due to injury. Aside from these two, the likes of Rovman Powell and Rachin Ravindra as backups, and Finn Allen, Cameron Green,  Sunil Narine, and Tim Seifert as first-choice picks look good.

Gujarat Titans (GT) Foreign Players IPL 2026

  • Jos Buttler (wk)
  • Tom Banton (wk)
  • Glenn Phillips
  • Jason Holder
  • Kagiso Rabada
  • Luke Wood
  • Rashid Khan

The Gujarat Titans have 7 Overseas players on their side, and fortunately, all 7 players are fit and available. Jos Buttler and Rashid Khan are sure to play in the starting 11, and two of Glenn Phillips, Tom Banton, Kagiso Rabada, and Jason Holder are expected to play in the playing 11, depending on the combination. Meanwhile, Luke Wood is a good backup pacer for Rabada or Holder.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) Foreign Players IPL 2026

  • Aiden Markram
  • Matthew Breetzke
  • Josh Inglis (wk) (To miss initial matches)
  • Nicholas Pooran (wk)
  • Mitchell Marsh
  • Wanindu Hasaranga (To miss initial matches)
  • Anrich Nortje

The Lucknow Super Giants have 7 Overseas players in the side, but similar to others, they also have injury concerns. While Wanindu Hasaranga is expected to miss most of IPL 2026 due to a hamstring injury, the LSG team will also be without  Josh Inglis for most of the tournament due to personal commitments. So, without these two, Aiden Markram, Nicholas Pooran, Mitchell Marsh, and probably Anrich Nortje become very useful.
