Among the best options to play in the August-September 2025 window for a white ball series is touring our favourite neighbouring and filler country, Sri Lanka. Every time BCCI wanted to have a filler series, Sri Lanka has always been there to support BCCI’s initiative. While there is no official confirmation from BCCI for a potential white ball series with Sri Lanka, it is likely we will see India touring Sri Lanka for a 3-match T20 and ODI series.
Given that Team India have a different leadership setup for ODIs and T20Is, the T20Is will be very important for Team India, as just after this series, we are likely to see the Asia Cup 2025, and then early next year, we are going to see the 2026 T20 World Cup. So, while we wait for the official announcement, let’s explore the likely squad list that Team India are going to deploy for the 2025 T20 series vs Sri Lanka.

Finally, coming to the bowling lineup, Team India will most likely rest Jasprit Bumrah to manage the workload.
