#1: Shikhar Dhawan – INR 11 Cr

What’s more important is that Quinton de Kock has officially retired from Tests, so he will be available throughout the IPL. The teams like KKR, MI, PBKS, RCB, SRH, and Gujarat Titans will be after him, so expect De Kock to fetch somewhere close to INR 10 Cr. 

#3: David Warner – INR 12.5 Cr

Potential Targets: KKR, PBKS & RCB

One of the most consistent overseas players in the IPL, David Warner will be another hot property in IPL 2022 Auction. Two important criteria separate Warner. He is consistent as an opener, and is a strong leader. Teams like KKR, PBKS, and RCB will be after him, and an amount close to INR 12.5 is a good amount for Warner.

#4: Shreyas Iyer – INR 14.5 Cr

Potential Targets: KKR, PBKS & RCB

Similar to Warner, Shreyas Iyer would be in high demand for his captaincy skills. Because Shreyas Iyer is an Indian, expect Shreyas to go to either of RCB or KKR. These are the teams that are devoid of any leader at this moment. So, expect them to go hard after Iyer. Even PBKS can go after Shreyas Iyer if Mayank Agarwal isn’t considered a leader. The only teams that may not go after him are the ones who already have a wicket-keeper. Expect Ishan Kishan to get close to INR 16 Cr in the auction.

#6: Mitchell Marsh – INR 13 Cr

Potential Targets: CSK, PBKS, RR, RCB, SRH & Delhi Capitals 

The current form of Mitchell Marsh makes him the hottest all-rounder to watch out for in IPL 2022 Auction. He has scored a truckload of runs while playing for Australia and in the Big Bash League. Total 6 teams will be after Marsh, but expect PBKS, RCB, RR and SRH to go aggressively after him. Expect Mitchell Marsh to fetch somewhere close to INR 13 Cr from the Mega Auction. 

#7: Odean Smith – INR 10.5 Cr

Potential Targets: PBKS, RR, RCB, SRH & Delhi Capitals 

Most of us may not be knowing who Odean Smith is, but trust me, the hard-hitting all-rounder from the West Indies would be one of the hottest properties in the IPL 2022 Auction. Having impressed in the CPL, Smith also has a glimpse of his talent in recent India vs West Indies series. A big-ticket that he is, expect the teams like PBKS, RR, RCB, SRH, and Delhi Capitals to go after him. 

#8: Washington Sundar – INR 9 Cr

Potential Targets: MI, PBKS, RR, RCB, SRH & LSG

Washington Sundar may not have a flashy image of a superstar, but he is certainly valuable. A bowling all-rounder that he is, Sundar can give decent runs down the order along with valuable 4 overs. Including his previous team, RCB, other teams like MI, PBKS, RR, SRH, and LSG will be after him. Expect Sundar to get close to INR 9 Cr in the auction.

#9: Shardul Thakur – INR 10 Cr

Potential Targets: CSK, KKR, PBKS, RR, RCB, SRH, LSG, Delhi Capitals & Gujarat Titans

#10: Harshal Patel – INR 11.5 Cr 

Potential Targets:  CSK, KKR, PBKS, RR, RCB, SRH, LSG  & Gujarat Titans

Shardul Thakur and Harshal will probably be the Indian bowlers to watch out for in the Auction. Not only are they valuable bowlers but they can also provide quick runs down the order. While Shardul has shown this recently for the senior team, Harshal proved this in IPL 2021. Almost 8 teams can be after Harshal and Shardul. Expect them to get close to INR 10 Cr in the Auction with Harshal being more expensive. 

#11: Kagiso Rabada – INR 9.5 Cr

Potential Targets: CSK, KKR, PBKS, RR, RCB, SRH, LSG, Delhi Capitals & Gujarat Titans

The final player of the lot is the Proteas speedster, Kagiso Rabada. Rabada has been a consistent performer with the ball in IPL, and he will be the hottest overseas pacer to watch out for in IPL 2022 Auction. Apart from Delhi Capitals, almost all the other teams need a solid pacer, and Rabada just provides that. Expect Rabada to get close to INR 9.5 Cr in the auction.
