IPL 2023: All 10 Teams New and Latest Squad and Players List
Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer ruled out as we look at the new squad and players list for all 10 teams for IPL 2023 after injury updates.
The IPL 2023 is in its second week, and it is already seeing some amazing moments on the field. However, one thing that has been the highlight so far is the player injuries. Dozens of players have already been ruled out of the competition, and these are not small names.
Star players like Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer, Prasidh Krishna, Rajat Patidar, Kane Williamson, and others have been ruled out of the tournament due to injuries. Except for Sunrisers Hyderabad and Lucknow Super Giants, all teams have had at least one new player added to their squad.
Not that injuries have not been there in previous tournaments. But this year, the injuries looked in abundance with IPL 2023 in only its second week. Nevertheless, here’s the new squad and players list for all 10 teams after injury updates and replacements.
#1: Chennai Super Kings
Chennai Super Kings lost their key pacers, Kyle Jamieson and Mukesh Choudhary even before the tournament already began. In their place, CSK brought in young pacer Akash Singh and South African overseas pacer Sisanda Magala respectively.

#2: Delhi Capitals
Delhi Capitals suffered a big blow when Rishabh Pant met with an accident a few months back. As a result of that, Pant was ruled out of IPL 2023, and David Warner was appointed as their captain. As a replacement for Rishabh Pant, Delhi Capitals brought in Abhishek Porel.

#3: Gujarat Titans
Gujarat Titans lost their star overseas batter Kane Williamson in only the first match of the tournament. In his place, Gujarat brought in Sri Lankan All-rounder Dasun Shanaka.

#4: Kolkata Knight Riders
Kolkata Knight Riders lost their captain, Shreyas Iyer, even before the start of IPL 2023. With the lack of good captaincy options that KKR had, Nitish was made the leader of the squad. Other than Iyer, KKR also lost Shakib Al Hasan, who withdrew from the tournament due to personal reasons. While no replacement was made for Iyer, KKR got in Jason Roy as the replacement for Shakib Al Hasan.

#5: Lucknow Super Giants
Lucknow Super Giants are one of the only two teams not to have had any injury concerns so far. While Mohsin Khan is still injured, he hasn’t been ruled out of the tournament. Hopefully, Mohsin recovers as India need left arm pacers to do well.

#6: Mumbai Indians
Mumbai Indians suffered a huge shock when the best pacer of the tournament, Jasprit Bumrah was ruled out of IPL 2023. What’s more, they also suffered another loss in the form of injured Jhye Richardson. In their place, Mumbai Indians got in pacers Sandeep Warrier and Riley Meredith.

Punjab Kings lost their star wicket-keeper opener Jonny Bairstow and a promising all-rounder Raj Bawa ahead of IPL 2023. In their place, Punjab Kings got in All-rounder Matthew Short and pacer Gurnoor Brar respectively.

One of the few teams to have lost their star pacer, Rajasthan Royals were unlucky to see their star pacer, Prasidh Krishan be ruled out of IPL 2023. However, they might not suffer much as they brought in a like-for-like Sandeep Sharma as his replacement.

Royal Challengers Bangalore suffered a huge blow when Reece Topley got injured in their first match against MI. What’s more, RCB also lost a promising batter Rajat Patidar along with an overseas batter Will Jacks. In their place, RCB got in Michael Bracewell, Wayne Parnell, and Vyshak Vijaykumar.

Similar to Lucknow Super Giants, Sunrisers Hyderabad have been lucky so far to not have had any injury concerns so far. Hopefully, it stays that as they have finally kick-started their campaign with a win after two successive losses.
