IPL 2020 – RCB v MI Match Preview:

Royal Challengers Bangalore are coming off a humiliating defeat against KXIP, whereas Mumbai Indians are coming off a stunning victory against KKR. Both the teams have won a game each, and have lost 1 in the process.

RCB’s main issue has been their death bowling in the recent years, and once again it going the same way. While they did pull off a stunning victory against SRH due to death bowling, the fact remains they same, and the lack of teeth in death overs was quite evident against KXIP.

Mumbai Indians, meanwhile, gave a complete team performance against KKR. Their Captain, Rohit Sharma struck form, and their bowling once again became their strength. They would want to carry the momentum against RCB too, and make it two in a row.

IPL 2020 RCB vs MI Predicted XIs:

Royal Challengers Bangalore would certainly need to rethink their strategy for death bowling. Such is their limited bowling options in death that they have to now rely on Shivam Dube to give you two overs at death. They badly need Morris, but unfortunately, he is still injured, and would miss the game. The only change we can see is Siraj for Umesh.

IPL 2020 RCB vs MI – Royal Challengers Bangalore Predicted 11:

Aaron Finch, Devdutt Padikkal, Virat Kohli (C), AB de Villiers, Joshua Philippe (WK), Shivam Dube, Washington Sundar, Navdeep Saini, Mohammad Siraj, Dale Steyn, and Yuzvendra Chahal.

Mumbai Indians’ weak link is supposedly Saurabh Tiwari, but surprisingly, he has played two useful cameos. Even James Pattinson, who is preferred ahead of injured, Coulter-Nile has done well. Hence, it is unlikely Mumbai Indians would go for a chance in the playing 11.

IPL 2020 RCB vs MI – Mumbai Indians Predicted 11:

Quinton de Kock (WK), Rohit Sharma (C), Suryakumar Yadav, Saurabh Tiwari, Hardik Pandya, Kieron Pollard, Krunal Pandya, Rahul Chahar, James Pattinson, Trent Boult, and Jasprit Bumrah.

Key Player Selections:

Batsmen: Virat Kohli, Quinton de Kock, and AB de Villiers

Two games, and two failures with the bat for the King, Virat Kohli. That’s quite uncharacteristic from him given the way he has been in IPL. His team needs him to perform badly, and with two failures, expect Virat Kohli to take up the responsibility.

Quinton de Kock fell to a cheap shot against KKR’s Shivam Mavi. He did show a glimpse of form against CSK, so De Kock could be a safe bet against his former team, RCB. His country mate, AB de Villiers considers Mumbai Indians as his favourite team. If he can gets pass spin bowling, AB would be a treat to watch.

All-rounders: Krunal Pandya and Shivam Dube

Krunal Pandya hasn’t had the bests of the tournament so far having struggled with the bat as well as ball. But, not just him, that’s what the journey has been for most of the spinners so far. Nevertheless, Krunal likes performing against RCB, and given the number of right-handers in the squad, he can come in handy.

Shivam Dube, the bowler has been a surprise package so far. He has bowled 6 overs, and has taken 4 wickets in 2 matches. This is primarily because of VK’s strategy to use him at death. If VK persists with the same strategy, it is only wise to select him again in the squad.

Bowlers: Jasprit Bumrah, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Rahul Chahar.

After getting a hammering in the first match, Jasprit Bumrah showed the world why he is the number 1 bowler in world cricket. He brought MI in the game by smartly taking the two most important wickets of Russell and Morgan. Ignoring Cummins’ Sixes against him, Bumrah looked in a good rhythm. So, it is wise to select him in your team.

The last match in Dubai saw some stickiness in the surface, and due to this Spinners got a good amount of help. Not only there was a lack of runs against them, but they also accounted for wickets if they bowled in the right areas. With that in mind, you can expect the leggies, Rahul Chahar and Yuzvendra Chahal to do well.

Captain & Vice-Captain Pick: Virat Kohli and Quinton de Kock
