Rajat Patidar and Shreyas Iyer to Captain the Champion RCB vs Rest 9 Team players GOAT playing 11 for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.

The inevitable has happened, and after 18 years of constantly chanting the ‘Ee Salla Cup Namde’ phrase, the RCB fans have finally been given the joy they had been waiting for, for almost two decades. Unlike the previous editions of the Indian Premier League, it was a complete team effort this time from Royal Challengers Bengaluru, and more than the batting, it was the bowling that led them to their maiden IPL victory.

As they always say, it is the batters that will win you matches, but it is the bowlers that win you the tournament. The Champion RCB team saw a completely dominant performance in the bowling department with the likes of Josh Hazlewood, Yash Dayal, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Krunal Pandya, and Suyash Sharma, all chipping in on timely occasions to help their side in every match including the grand finale where bowlers played a big part.

With RCB now crowned as the champions, how about we take a unique approach, and look at the best playing 11 from the rest 9 team players vs the Champions RCB team’s best playing 11? Since RCB had a power-packed line-up, we had to select the best openers, best middle-order, best finishers, and the best bowling lineup from the rest 9 teams to be able to compete with the RCB dream team. So, let’s look at the complete detailed analysis of the Champion RCB vs Rest 9 team players GOAT playing 11 for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.

IPL 2025 Champion RCB vs Rest 9 Team Players GOAT Playing 11

Starting with the openers as usual, we have the Fire and Ice combination of Phil Salt and Virat Kohli up against another fire and ice opening combination of Sai Sudharsan and Mitchell Marsh. All 4 openers had a fantastic tournament, and scored more than 400+ runs in the series. While Kohli and Salt combined had 1000+ runs to their name, Sai and Marsh were exceptional themselves with 1300+ runs to their name. Sai was also the winner of the Orange Cap with 759 runs to his name. Meanwhile, Marsh refined himself by being more consistent this time around as compared to his previous performances.

Coming to the middle-order, we have Mayank Agarwal and Rajat Patidar for RCB vs Nicholas Pooran, Suryakumar Yadav, and Shreyas Iyer from the Opposition team. It is no secret that RCB faced middle-order woes, and the likes of Mayank Agarwal, Devdutt Padikkal (previous to Mayank) and Rajat Patidar didn’t have an IPL they would have liked. Talking about Rajat Patidar, he could only manage 312 runs at an average of just 24.

For the Opposition team, you can’t have a better middle-order trio than Nicholas Pooran, Suryakumar Yadav, and Mitchell Marsh. All three scored in excess of 50 runs in the series, and played an instrumental role for their team. Pooran ended up scoring 524 runs at an amazing strike rate of 196. Suryakumar Yadav batted at 4 on most occasions, but still ended up scoring a record 717 runs. Similarly, Shreyas had the best season of his career scoring over 600 runs at a solid strike rate of 175.

Finishers

Talking about finishers, we had Tim David, Romario Shephard, and Jitesh Sharma as the best finishers for RCB vs Shashank Singh and Hardik Pandya for the rest of the team XI. While Tim didn’t feature in the final, but before getting injured, he played an instrumental role for the RCB. Overall, Tim scored a solid 187 runs at a good strike rate of 185. Similarly, Jitesh played many match-winning cameos, and he scored 261 runs at a solid strike rate of 176. Shephard wasn’t far behind with 70 runs including the fastest fifty of the tournament.

While RCB’s finishers were a touch apart, the finishers from the Opposition team were decent on paper. Shashank Singh, who more often than not played at 6 or 7 was still able to score around 350 runs with a good strike rate of 150. Shashank also played a brilliant knock in the final, but just didn’t have enough support at the other end. Similarly, Hardik played his role to perfection, and scored 224 runs at a good strike rate of 163.

Bowling Lineup

In the batting comparison, RCB were ahead only in the finishers category, but when it comes to the bowling lineup, RCB saw an inspirational performance from their top 5 bowlers. While Hazlewood took 22 wickets, Krunal and Bhuvi took 17 each. Similarly, young Yash Dayal and Suyash Sharma were also among wickets, and they took 13 and 8 wickets respectively. Aside from stats, RCB saw their bowlers perform in the most important stage of the tournament, the Playoffs.

Talking about the opposition team, the bowling lineup looked exemplary with Jasprit Bumrah, Trent Boult, Prasidh Krishna as the leading pacers, and Noor Ahmad and R Sai Kishore as the leading spinners. While Prasidh won the purple cap with 25 wickets to his name, Noor was just behind at 24. Boult and Bumrah were instrumental for MI with 22 and 18 wickets to them. Wheres R Sai Kishore was an underdog, with 19 wickets in the tournament.
