IPL 2024: Confirmed Final Squad List for All 10 Teams Post Auction

A total of 245 players in focus as we look at the complete official IPL 2024 new squad and players list for all 10 teams post the Auction. 

Historic!! The only word that would come to my mind if we had to review the IPL 2024 Auction. A whopping INR 230.45 Cr was spent by 10 teams to acquire the services of 72 players. However, the star of the evening are undoubtedly the Aussie pacers, Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins, who were bought by their respective franchise for INR 24.75 Cr and INR 20.5 Cr respectively.

The IPL 2024 Auction broke all the records that were set by IPL 2023 Auction. It is unimaginable to see how money-centric the IPL Mini Auctions are. Teams should be happy that most of the Mini Auctions are focused on stacking up the Overseas players. Otherwise, imagine the amount being spent if the likes of Suryakumar Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Virat Kohli, etc. become a part of the Mini Auction. 

Nevertheless, now that the Auction is over, all teams are ready to fight out the battle in the coming months during IPL 2024. But how are all the teams stacked up in terms of batters, bowlers, All-rounders, and Wicket-keepers? Well, let’s break down the squad and players of each team, and find out the IPL 2024 new squad and final players list of all 10 teams post the Auction.

Chennai Super Kings spent INR 30.4 Cr in the Auction, and bought 6 players. The most expensive player for CSK is Daryl Mitchell, for whom CSK spent INR 14 Cr. Apart from him, CSK got more good players in the form of Rachin Ravindra for 1.8 Cr, Shardul Thakur for 4 Cr, and Sameer Rizvi for 8.4 Cr.

Batters: Ajinkya Rahane, Ruturaj Gaikwad & Shaik Rasheed 

WKs: Devon Conway (o) & MS Dhoni (c)

All-rounders: Ajay Mandal, Mitchell Santner (o), Moeen Ali (o), Nishant Sindhu, Ravindra Jadeja & Shivam Dube

Bowlers: Deepak Chahar, Maheesh Theekshana (o), Matheesha Pathirana (o), Mukesh Chaudhary, Prashant Solanki, Rajvardhan Hangargekar, Simarjeet Singh & Tushar Deshpande

New Players Added: Avanish Rao Aravelly, Daryl Mitchell (o), Mustafizur Rahman (o), Rachin Ravindra (o), Sameer Rizvi & Shardul Thakur

Delhi Capitals spent only INR 19.05 Cr in the Auction, and got a few interesting players in the form of Harry Brook for 4 Cr, Jhye Richardson for 5 Cr, Kumar Khushagra for INR 7.2 Cr, and Tristan Stubbs for 0.5 Cr. Even as Delhi Capitals completed their quota of 25 players, they still have INR 9.9 Cr left with them.

WKs: Abhishek Porel & Rishabh Pant (c)

All-rounders: Axar Patel, Lalit Yadav, Mitchell Marsh (o), 

Bowlers: Anrich Nortje (o), Ishant Sharma, Khaleel Ahmed, Kuldeep Yadav, Lungi Ngidi (o), Mukesh Kumar, Pravin Dubey & Vicky Ostwal

New Players Added: Harry Brook (o), Jhye Richardson (o), Kumar Khushagra, Rashik Dar, Ricky Bhui, Shai Hope (o), Sumit Kumar, Swastik Chhikara & Tristan Stubbs (o)

Gujarat Titans had a big void to fill when Hardik Pandya was traded to Mumbai Indians. Thankfully, but not completely, having spent INR 30.3 Cr in the Auction, GT got Shahrukh Khan for 7.4 Cr, Spencer Johnson for 10 Cr, Umesh Yadav for 5.8 Cr, and Robin Minz for 3.6 Cr. Similar to Delhi Capitals, Gujarat Titans have 25 players, but INR 7.85 Cr is still left in the kitty.

Batters: Abhinav Manohar, David Miller (o), Kane Williamson (o), Sai Sudharshan & Shubman Gill

WKs: Matthew Wade (o) & Wriddhiman Saha 

All-rounders: Jayant Yadav, Rahul Tewatia & Vijay Shankar

Bowlers: Darshan Nalkande, Joshua Little (o), Mohammed Shami, Mohit Sharma, Noor Ahmad (o), R Sai Kishore & Rashid Khan (o)

New Players Added: Azmatullah Omerzai (o), Kartik Tyagi, Manav Suthar, Robin Minz, Shahrukh Khan, Spencer Johnson (o), Sushant Mishra & Umesh Yadav

KKR spent INR 31.35 Cr in the Auction, and they created history by purchasing the most expensive player in the history of IPL, Mitchell Starc for INR 24.75 Cr. After spending almost 80% of their purse on Starc, KKR got bargain buys in the form of Mujeeb ur Rahman for 2 Cr, Sherfane Rutherford for 1.5 Cr, and Chetan Sakariya for 0.5 Cr.

Batters: Jason Roy (o), Nitish Rana, Rinku Singh & Shreyas Iyer (c)

WKs: Rahmanullah Gurbaz (o)

All-rounders: Andre Russell (o), Anukul Roy, Sunil Narine (o) & Venkatesh Iyer

Bowlers: Harshit Rana, Suyash Sharma, Vaibhav Arora & Varun Chakravarthy

Talking about LSG, they spent only INR 12.2 Cr in the Auction, but got three really good buys in the form of Shivam Mavi for 6.4 Cr, M. Siddharth for 2.4 Cr, and David Willey for 2 Cr.

Batters: Ayush Badoni, Devdutt Padikkal (t) & KL Rahul (c)

WKs: Nicholas Pooran (o) & Quinton de Kock (o)

All-rounders: Deepak Hooda, Krishnappa Gowtham, Krunal Pandya, Kyle Mayers (o), Marcus Stoinis (o), Prerak Mankad & Yudhvir Charak

Bowlers: Amit Mishra, Mark Wood (o), Mayank Yadav, Mohsin Khan, Naveen Ul-Haq (o), Ravi Bishnoi & Yash Thakur

Talking about MI, they had a really good Auction having spent only INR 16.7 Cr, and getting three really good overseas pacers for just 14.4 Cr. MI were successfully able to buy Dilshan Madhushanka for 4.6 Cr, Nuwan Thushara for 4.8 Cr, and Gerald Coetzee for 5 Cr. In addition, Mumbai Indians got Mohammed Nabi for INR 1.5 Cr.

Batters: Dewald Brevis (o), Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma & Tim David (o)

WKs: Ishan Kishan & Vishnu Vinod

All-rounders: Arjun Tendulkar, Hardik Pandya (c), Nehal Wadhera, Romario Shephard (T&o) & Shams Mulani

Bowlers: Akash Madhwal, Jason Behrendorff (o), Jasprit Bumrah, Kumar Kartikeya, Piyush Chawla

New Players Added: Anshul Kamboj, Dilshan Madhushanka (o), Gerald Coetzee (o), Mohammed Nabi (o), Naman Dhir, Nuwan Thushara (o), Shivalik Sharma & Shreyas Gopal

Coming to Punjab Kings, they spent INR 24.95 Cr in the Auction with most being spent on Harshal Patel at 11.75 Cr and Rille Rossouw at 8 Cr. Other than these two, PBKS got Chris Woakes for 4.2 Cr as their special buy.

Coming to RR, they spent only INR 14.3 Cr in the Auction, but got two really good players in the form of Rovman Powell for 7.4 Cr and Shubham Dubey for 5.8 Cr.

Batters: Kunal Rathore, Shimron Hetmyer (o) & Yashasvi Jaiswal

WKs: Dhruv Jurel, Donavon Ferreira (o), Jos Buttler (o) & Sanju Samson (c)

All-rounders: Ravichandran Ashwin & Riyan Parag

Bowlers: Adam Zampa (o), Avesh Khan (t), Kuldeep Sen, Navdeep Saini, Prasidh Krishna, Sandeep Sharma, Trent Boult (o) & Yuzvendra Chahal

The RCB team needed bowlers in the Auction, and they kind of achieved their goal by getting Alzarri Joseph for 11.5 Cr, Lockie Ferguson for 2 Cr, and Yash Dayal for 5 Cr.

Batters: Faf du Plessis (c&o), Rajat Patidar, Suyash Prabhudessai, Virat Kohli & Will Jacks (o)

WKs: Anuj Rawat & Dinesh Karthik

All-rounders: Cameron Green (t&o), Glenn Maxwell (o), Mahipal Lomror, Manoj Bhandage & Mayank Dagar (T)

Bowlers: Akash Deep, Himanshu Sharma, Karn Sharma, Mohammed Siraj, Rajan Kumar, Reece Topley (o) & Vyshak Vijaykumar

Finally, the best Auction team belongs to Sunrisers Hyderabad, who were able to get three really good players by not spending a fortune. SRH management shall be happy to get Pat Cummins for 20.5 Cr, Wanindu Hasaranga for 1.5 Cr, and Travis Head for 6.8 Cr.
