Let’s start with the batters that Team India will select for the 2026 T20 World Cup. Among the confirmed names, we are looking at Suryakumar Yadav, Rinku Singh, and Tilak Varma. While SKY and Tilak have more or less made that number 3-4 position as their own, Rinku is still projected as the finisher in the team. Coming to the wicket-keepers, Sanju Samson is a confirmed name in the team that is likely to play as the first-choice wicket-keeper in the team. But for the second wicket-keeper slot, India should opt for Rishabh Pant ahead of the likes of Dhruv Jurel, Ishan Kishan, or Jitesh Sharma. Coming to all-rounders, India are likely to select four names in the side. While Abhishek, who is primarily an opener, is also a good part-time bowler, other than him, India will select Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, and Washington Sundar in the squad. With a total of 4 all-rounders in the squad, 2-3 of them should be in the playing 11. This is a great set of all-rounders to have as all four are unique attributes to the team, and can be used based on the conditions.

Finally, talking about the bowling lineup, the India team is thankfully filled with quality bowlers. With 3 pacers and 2 spinners in the mix, expect India to select Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, and Harshit Rana as the primary pacers. Whereas for the spinners, India are likely to select Varun Chakravarthy and Kuldeep Yadav. These are the best five bowlers in India currently, and 3 of them should feature in the starting 11 for Team India.
