We’re talking about Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Abhishek Sharma, two players who redefine powerplay dominance in IPL 2026.

While Abhishek has established himself as one of the most explosive T20 batters over the last few years, continuing that form this season with consistently high strike rates, Suryavanshi has taken fearless hitting to another level altogether.

Taking on elite bowlers like Bumrah, Boult, Hazlewood, and Bhuvneshwar from the very first ball, the 15-year-old prodigy is rapidly building an aura of his own. Team RH: Jos Buttler & Virat Kohli

Given the lack of quality left-handers in IPL 2026 so far, Yashasvi Jaiswal, the MVP of Rajasthan Royals, becomes an automatic choice at number 3. The consistency of Jaiswal has been exemplary, and he has been a key driver for RR’s success so far alongside Vaibhav. 

Complementing Jaiswal at 4 and 5 are Ishan Kishan and Devdutt Padikkal. While Kishan has been powerful batting at the top for SRH, Padikkal has looked flawless with his batting. Of course, Kishan and Padikkal play at 3 for their respective teams, but given the lack of strong middle-order batters, there is no option but to have these two in the side as middle-order batters. 

Team RH: Dhruv Jurel, Rajat Patidar & Heinrich Klaasen

Coming to Team RH, we have quite a dynamic middle-order, which is not only aggressive, but also cautious in its approach. Be it Dhruv, Patidar, or Klaasen, all can hit miles when needed, but they can also respect the situation, and play accordingly. All three have been quite consistent playing for their team, and made sure the team not only is devoid of any collapses, but they dominate the middle phase with ease. 

Finishers

Team LH: Sherfane Rutherford & Krunal Pandya

Moving on to the finishers, we have Sherfane Rutherford and Krunal Pandya for Team LH. Sherfane has been so good this season, but has unfortunately been underutilised by Hardik Pandya. Krunal, meanwhile, may not have contributed with the bat, but as a bowling AR, he is an invaluable asset at number 7 for RCB. Given his new variations, including bouncers, he has been hard to hit, unless Krunal bowls bad deliveries.  

Team RH: Nitish Reddy & Jamie Overton

For Team RH, we have the AR duo of Nitish Reddy and Jamie Overton. While Nitish has been doing quite well as a batting AR for SRH, even when the team has Abhishek, Head, Kishan, and Klaasen in the ranks, his bowling is going under the radar, and he is doing more than decent there. Similarly, Overton’s middle and death overs bowling has been like a breath of fresh air for CSK. Also, when needed, Overton has stepped up in the batting department, too.

Key Bowlers

Team LH: Harsh Dubey, Shivang Kumar, T Natarajan & Nandre Burger

Coming to the bowling lineup, and this is where things get interesting. Given the current stats, Team LH seems weak in their bowling, with no standout bowlers in the tournament so far. From the best of the lot that have been performing, we have Harsh Dubey’s left-arm spin, Shivan Kumar’s left-arm wrist spin, the pace of T Natarajan, and Nandre Burger. While they have been decent, they are not among the top bowlers this season.  

Team RH: Jofra Archer, Anshul Kamboj, Ravi Bishnoi & Prasidh Krishna

Moving on to Team RH for the Indian Premier League 2026 season, we have a strong bowling lineup comprising the pace of Jofra Archer, Anshul Kamboj, and Prasidh Krishna, and the wrist spin of Ravi Bishnoi. All four bowlers are among the best this season, and are MVPs for their respective teams.
