IPL 2023 Auction: Complete Final List of Short-listed 405 Players

A total of 405 players set to go under the hammer as we look at the official short-listed players list for the IPL 2023 Mini Auction. 

The BCCI on Tuesday officially announced the final list of the short-listed players for the IPL 2023 Mini Auction. From the total of 991 players who had registered for the Auction, only 405 players have been short-listed based on the interest of the 10 franchises.

The final 405 players are bifurcated into 273 Indian players and 132 Overseas players. Whereas the list has 119 capped players, 283 uncapped players with 4 players from associate nations. In terms of overseas players, England has 27 players and South Africa has 22 players. Whereas Australia has 21 players and West Indies has 20 players. 

In terms of the base price, the brackets remain similar to what we had seen in IPL 2022 Mega Auction. The 405 players are divided into 8 brackets with the maximum base price being INR 2 crores and the minimum bracket being INR 0.2 crores. The other price brackets being INR 1.5 cr, INR 1 Cr, INR 0.75 Cr, INR 0.5 Cr, INR 0.4 Cr, and INR 0.3 Cr.

The IPL 2023 Mini Auction is set to take place on December 23 in Kochi. To recap, 10 teams have a total of 87 spots vacant with a maximum of 30 spots available for overseas players. So, as we wait for the Auction to begin, let’s look at the final shot-listed list of players that will go under the hammer in the IPL 2023 Mini Auction. 

IPL 2023 Mini Auction Final Short-listed Players List 

The INR 2 crore base price has a total of 19 players with all being overseas players. According to 24betting exchange analysts, these players have the highest chance to make noise during the next season. Some of the prominent names that can fetch a big price in the Auction include Sam Curran, Ben Stokes, Cameroon Green, Nicholas Pooran, Rille Rossouw, and Kane Williamson.

INR 1.5 Cr Base Price:

Similar to INR 2 crores base price, the INR 1.5 crores base price doesn’t have any Indian player.  But it has a total of 11 overseas players. Some of the prominent names that can fetch big in the Auction include Harry Brook and Shakib Al Hasan.

INR 1 Cr Base Price:

INR 1 crores is the highest base price that has Indian players. We have two names in the list in the form of Manish Pandey and Mayank Agarwal. Barring these two, there are a total of 18 overseas players. Some prominent names include Joe Root, Heinrich Klaasen, and Mujeeb Rahman.

So, that’s about the players list for the IPL 2023 Mini Auction. The 10 teams have a total of 206.5 crores left with them to purchase a total of 87 players with a maximum of 30 overseas players. Given the history, we can expect at least 5-6 players who can fetch above 10 crores.
