World Cup 2019: Kedar Jadhav declared fit; Set to miss practice games
In the form of good news for the Indian fans, the injury-prone, Kedar Jadhav is declared fit for World Cup 2019, and is set to travel to England along with Team India.
THE INCIDENT
Kedar Jadhav had sustained a shoulder injury while diving during CSK’s final group stage match against KXIP in IPL 2019.
Since that event, Kedar Jadhav has been recovering under the guidance of Team India’s physio, Patrick Farhat, and all eyes have been on him for his participation for World Cup 2019.
In case Kedar Jadhav had failed to make it, there were speculations that either of Axar Patel, Ambati Rayudu or Rishabh Pant could have been drafted in the side as his replacement.

KEDAR JADHAV’S IMPORTANCE
Kedar Jadhav is an integral member of Team India. Not only is he a handy batsman down the order, but also a sixth bowling option for Virat Kohli.
Team India have often relied on Kedar Jadhav to produce crucial breakthroughs in the middle-overs.
However, the all-rounder hasn’t had a good IPL 2019. In the 14 matches he played, he could only manage 162 runs at an average of 18 and a strike rate of 95.85.
However, the all-rounder has been doing really well in the Indian jersey. He has 1174 runs from 59 matches at an average of 43.48 and a strike rate of 102.53. He has also taken 27 crucial wickets for Team India.
Team India would be hoping that Kedar Jadhav forgets his IPL 2019 performance, and brings his best while playing in the blue jersey.
PRACTICE MATCHES
Kedar Jadhav, however, would most likely miss the practice games as he hasn’t recovered completely from the injury.
Team India is set to begin its World Cup 2019 campaign with two warm-up matches starting May 25. Team India would play New Zealand and Bangladesh on May 25 and May 28 respectively.
While missing the practice matches isn’t much of a loss, they are still important to get familiar with the conditions in England.
