MI with the standout lineup on paper as we look at the ranking and rating of the IPL 2024 best bowling attack for all 10 teams.

When we talk about winning a tournament like the Indian Premier League, it most of the time boils down to how good the team is when it comes to their bowling. Take RCB for example. They are one team that spends heavily to get some prominent batters in their side. But when it comes to their bowling, it has most of the time been below-average, and that’s one of the reasons why they don’t have a trophy yet.

When we talk about IPL 2024, some teams like LSG, RCB, and RR are designed in such a way they have a stunning batting lineup. But when we talk about their bowing lineup, it is a question mark. But then there are teams like MI, CSK, PBKS, etc., that are known for their bowling. While the bowling lineup wise, all teams may not be similar in terms of quality, every team is filled with 2-3 quality bowlers for sure.

So, with the official data in front of us, how about we compare all 10 teams, basis their best first-choice bowling attack for IPL 2024? To arrive at the rating and ranking, we will take a look at the cumulative rating of the top 6 first-choice bowlers for each team. Bowlers are relatively rated basis the benchmark bowlers. IPL 2024 Best Bowling Attack Ranking for All 10 Teams

Lucknow Super Giants

At number 10, we have the LSG team with a bowling attack rating of 7.875. While LSG had an inexperienced bowling attack, the departure of Mark Wood makes it them even more weak in their bowling. Ravi Bishnoi is the team’s best bowler, and he isn’t the best-known name in the tournament. With names like Mohsin Khan, Shivam Mavi, and Shamar Joseph, LSG will need some extraordinary bowling to sail through.

Ravi Bishnoi, Amit Mishra, Shamar Joseph, Krunal Pandya, Shivam Mavi & Mohsin Khan.

Royal Challengers Bangalore

Number 9 sees the RCB team with a bowling attack rating of 7.876. Only a marginally better rating, but RCB are no different than LSG when it comes to their bowling attack. Siraj and Ferguson are the team’s best bowlers, but other than these two, inexperience is written all over the RCB bowling attack. RCB, like LSG, will need some extraordinary bowling performance from their bowlers to have a successful tournament.

IPL 2024 Best Bowling Attack for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB):

Mohammed Siraj, Lockie Ferguson, Karn Sharma, Yash Dayal, Cameron Green & Glenn Maxwell.

Gujarat Titans

Talking about number 8, we have the GT team with a rating of 8.125 for their bowling attack. Seeing GT’s name might surprise you, but the departure of Hardik Pandya and an injury to Mohammed Shami are the main reasons why their rating is reduced a lot. While Rashid Khan continues to remain their torch bearer, the likes of Spencer Johnson, Tewatia, and Umesh Yadav aren’t the most reliable bowlers.

Rashid Khan, Mohit Sharma, R Sai Kishore, Spencer Johnson, Rahul Tewatia & Umesh Yadav.

Sunrisers Hyderabad

At number 7, we have the SRH team with a bowling attack rating of 8.167. SRH have a well-balanced bowling attack, but what they lack is 1-2 outstanding bowlers that can turn the match on their own. Honestly, there is none, and their best bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar is already off the prime currently. Aside from Bhuvi, SRH would need better performances from the likes of Natarajan, Sundar, Cummins, and Markande.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar, T Natarajan, Washington Sundar, Pat Cummins, Mayank Markande & Shahbaz Ahmed.

Rajasthan Royals

The number 6 spot is taken by the RR team who have a rating of 8.250 for their bowling attack. RR’s rating is mostly saved by two outstanding bowlers, Trent Boult and Yuzvendra Chahal. These two are some of the best bowlers in the business. But other than these two, RR have Ashwin as the decent option, and the likes of Avesh Khan, Sandeep Sharma, and Riyan Parag aren’t reliable at all.

Trent Boult, Yuzvendra Chahal, Ravichandran Ashwin, Avesh Khan, Sandeep Sharma & Riyan Parag.
